Match company, destination and floor with the address—not with the crowd. Even within a route toward Osaka, leaving on the wrong side can create a long return with luggage.

Step out of the flow before crossing another gate and stay on the side you can still identify. Show staff the destination and ask only for the next boundary. Same-day construction and service notices take priority over this article.

Shinkansen, JR local lines and Osaka Metro are three separate sign systems inside the transfer hub. Follow the next service, not “Shin-Osaka” repeatedly.

Before leaving the arriving platform, decide whether the next leg is another JR train or the Midosuji Line and identify the corresponding transfer gate.

If you reach an exit instead of the intended transfer, stop before passing it and recheck the operator. Separate gates mean the nearest visible staircase may not be the correct route.
