02JR to Odakyu for Hakone
A Romancecar or other reserved product adds a ticket and train boundary.
- Confirm Odakyu and the exact service.
- Keep the base ticket and any limited-express ticket visible.
- Check train, departure time, car and seat on the current board.
- Enter only the Odakyu gate shown for that product.
03Route says Seibu-Shinjuku
This includes an outside-station walk rather than an internal JR platform transfer.
- Keep the full Seibu station name.
- Choose an outside route appropriate for weather and luggage.
- Confirm the Seibu entrance and destination direction.
- Allow recovery time instead of treating the walk as a same-platform transfer.

A lift route can change the gate

Does every transfer stay inside the gates?
No. Some operator changes require leaving one paid area and entering another. Check the current route and ticket before crossing.
Is the Oedo Line a Tokyo Metro line?
No. The Oedo Line is operated by Toei and uses E27 at Shinjuku. The Marunouchi Line is Tokyo Metro and uses M08.
Can an IC card replace a Romancecar ticket?
Do not assume so. A limited-express or reserved-seat product may require an additional ticket. Confirm the current Odakyu product before boarding.
What if the sign colour matches but the company name does not?
Stop. Match the operator logo, full line name and station code. Colour is a supporting clue, not permission to enter a gate.
