02 · TRAVEL BY NEED
The experience begins at the neighbourhood station, not at kick-off. Work backwards from the official event time and the route after the final whistle.
Baseball, football, basketball, rugby, sumo and other ticketed live events.

FOUR DECISIONS
Four decisions to make first.
Set the decision rules before choosing more places.
Buy from an official route
Confirm the organiser, date, venue and ticket-delivery method before paying.
Identify the correct gate
Save the gate or stand shown on the ticket; large venues can have long outside walks.
Read the bag rules
Check bag size, drinks, re-entry and prohibited items on the event page.
Plan after the crowd
Save the return platform and one place to wait if the nearest station is overloaded.
Before buying
- Use the league, club, venue or promoter as the source of truth.
- Check whether the ticket is app-only, needs a Japanese phone number or must be collected.
- Choose accommodation from the return route, not only the venue distance.
Before leaving
- Recheck start time, gate-opening time and any postponement.
- Charge the phone and keep the ticket accessible offline if the issuer allows it.
- Eat early when venue food or queues are uncertain.
At the venue
- Follow staff instructions and the behaviour of the home crowd before joining chants.
- Photograph your gate number, not other spectators.
- Leave enough battery and attention for the route home.
VENUE · NEAREST STATION · RETURN
Rehearse arrival with four real venues—not a list of giant stations.
These are route rehearsals, not event or ticket recommendations. For any match, verify venue name, nearest station, ticket entrance and the route home as one set.
Tokyo Dome
Official access lists JR and Toei Suidobashi, Tokyo Metro Korakuen and Toei Kasuga. Save the ticket gate first, then choose by the walking and step-free route rather than station name alone.
Official venue accessHanshin Koshien Stadium
Use Hanshin Electric Railway’s Koshien Station; do not confuse it with JR Koshienguchi. Check the official approach and the return on Hanshin as one plan. The stadium states that it has no visitor parking.
Official venue accessSaitama Stadium 2002
The official route gives a 1.2 km, roughly 15-minute pedestrian approach from Urawa-Misono. Shuttle buses and traffic controls depend on the major event, so verify the outbound and return arrangements separately.
Official venue accessMAZDA Zoom-Zoom Stadium Hiroshima
Open the venue’s official walking access from Hiroshima Station on match day. Separate the station exit, event-day pedestrian flow and your ticket entrance; save the return route instead of relying only on the crowd.

What this guide cannot decide for you.
Schedules, tickets, bag rules and gate operations can change by event. Local Japan does not sell or certify tickets.
