A child needs a pause before Tokyo
Use the nearest family facility before committing to a ticket. Feed, change and repack first; then choose a route with fewer lifts and transfers even when it is not the shortest printed time.
Luggage changes the best route
A reserved seat may not solve the T3 corridor, lift queue or final hotel stairs. Compare delivery acceptance, bus stop, luggage space and the route after the Tokyo station—not only the airport train.
Delivery, storage and lockers
All terminals list baggage services, but provider, acceptance time, size, same-day area and capacity differ. Decide before carrying luggage to the rail platform; a verified counter is not a promise of space.
Baby rooms, stroller rental and kids areas
All three terminals list family facilities, but some are beyond security. Nursing booths have access conditions different from shared changing and hot-water areas; check the current map and family member who needs access.

Scene
A family reaches baggage claim after a long flight. One child needs a toilet, the stroller is oversized baggage and the booked train requires a separate ticket decision. Solving all three while walking is where small mistakes multiply.
Decision
Choose one adult as the document and route lead and one as the child and baggage lead. Before leaving each controlled area, account for every passport, child and bag. In the public lobby, make the toilet or feeding stop first, then compare a reserved train or direct bus by transfers, seating, stroller handling and the hotel-side walk—not speed alone.
Recovery
If the family becomes separated, return to the last named staffed point rather than searching the whole terminal. Carry the hotel address, flight number and one meeting phrase on paper as well as on a phone.
